2 out of 5 stars Optimus Prime Voice Changer- neat idea, but not great quality for the money   June 23, 2008
We soon discovered that this would be awesome if there was a volume/microphone control. The pre-programmed phrases worked fine, but when the microphone was turned on to change my son's voice, it was too loud and full of static like a blown speaker. It sounded better if he took it off and spoke while it was further from his mouth, but that is no fun if he can't wear the helmet. We paid almost $50 dollars for this including shipping to get it by Christmas and my son only played with it a couple of times. If the glitches were corrected, it would be well worth the money, but as is, it was a waste.

5 out of 5 stars Even my husband loved this one.   June 15, 2008
We couldn't keep the grownups off this one. Now my 28 year old son wants one! It was a huge hit with the 5 year old crowd too. It appears to be well made and has withstood the 5 year olds AND the 20 somethings.....

3 out of 5 stars A Parent's Perspective-Not a Crash helmet   June 10, 2008

Ahh the joy of toys that make noise. My children each received one of these for a gift from their grandmother at Christmas. Here are some bullet points to know before purchasing:
-Does not work as a safety helmet, particularly on bikes and scooters.
-Actually, helmets make riding bikes and scooters more dangerous because they apparently make mailboxes and bushes invisible to the wearer.
-Voice box does not work after going into the tub, even if you were just playing that the transformers were fighting in the rain with the shower on.
-Two helmets, when hit together while being worn by a 6 and 10 year old "head butting" cause cracks in the plastic and make the voice boxes create a lovely screeching crackling noise.
-Helmets do not protect against younger brothers with large sticks
-Though the voice boxes make a variety of noises, they can turn parents into raving lunatics after just 1 hour of being worn by a 6 year old.
-6 year olds apparently cannot see when wearing the helmet, and will create marks on your walls and doorframes from the "ricochet" they do while running through your home at top speed with the helmet on.
-Tying a blanket around your neck to create a "cape" while wearing helmet still does not allow flight off of the landing on the staircase. Helmet does not protect against the "landing" from such an attempt either.

Lucky for me (since I can't stand toys that make noise) the voice boxes on these were killed within the first month of ownership. They are now used as costuming and crash helmets by my not so bright children. For the price they are at now, if you can stand the noise until your kids kill it; these are great fun for little boys. (I haven't had the pleasure of testing on girls.)

4 out of 5 stars Fun helmet   June 9, 2008

My son took the transformers helmet for Show n tell, he became a hero that day.
Its nice to see your voice change; they try all sorts of phrases to hear how their voice sounds.

3 out of 5 stars Fun, but too pricey   June 5, 2008

I purchased this toy for a birthday gift for my son who wanted it badly. I shopped around to get the best bargain and it was here at Amazon. It arrived very quickly in perfect condition. My son was extremely happy to receive the helmet, but after a week he lost interest. I'm glad I shopped around for the lowest price, because if I had paid what other merchants were charging, I would have felt very badly. In my opinion, there are other toys available which would give a higher return in fun and creativity for the cost.

More Images of TF :Animated Activator Megatron
New images of the soon to be released Transformers: Animated Activator Megatron have been posted on tf08.net.

The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game
Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.

I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....

A couple of TF fans have decided to share a bit more with the TF community.

First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...

Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...
