This is a great transformer! the car mode and robot more are very detailed and both look great. (Mine has no problem with the button on the hood that flips down the chest.)
I worry about the age rating is "5+" on this though. I think maybe it should be 6 or 7+ because some of the parts look like they could be broken. If you're kids get frustrated easily or they're really rough on toys it will end up in the bottom of the toy box in pieces.

hey i recently brought his transformer for my collection but i cannot get it back into car mode the front will not stay on i hope hasbro will bring out the new fixed bumblee figure soon i like that hes a camero i also recently exchange this product and found out some toystores like kbtoys do have a fixed ver just look at the button size before you purchase

As one of the first TF toys I saw in the store, I snatched up the "classic Camaro" version of Bumblebee. Unfortunately, it has a pretty poor paint job. His face is missing some of the silver markings that should have been painted, and the "missile launchers" are solid yellow instead of the translucent purple that are shown on the package. Also, the windows are painted instead of being made of translucent plastic like on the Alternators. The legs of the robot are awkward and hard to pose, and I had a hard time on the very first transformation sequence, where you push a button to fold down the front of the car. I was afraid I would break it, but you have to push the button very hard to get it to work. I hope I don't have one of the defective ones.
It seems like every time there are new TF toys out they get more and more fragile. Not much of a play-toy, more of a collector's item.

As a big fan of Bumblebee growing up from the old Generation 1 days, I was quite excited about the idea of a brand new Bumblebee character having a vital role in the 2007 Transformers movie. I knew going in that there would be changes and to put the past behind and look to a bright new story line and future. That didn't stop me from being the first in line to get the newly released movie version of Bumblebee. But is this figure worthy of the name Bumblebee? That is the big question. I would say it pulls it off well enough but still isn't nearly as impressive as some of the older figures to carry the name of Bumblebee. But it should do nicely for a more modern, 21st century Bumblebee.
It is strange to think of the loveable little spy from our past as a Chevy muscle car with huge missles on his shoulders and a well built body to match. The days of the little innocent Volkswagen are long gone now. So in a way this character is Bumblebee in name only but at least it does try to have some nods to the character it is based on.
The yellow and black coloring of the figure and character do make it seem appropriate enough to be naming him Bumblebee. Not as effective as the fact that he was a Volkswagen Bettle previously, but still works enough that you won't think much on how it doesn't seem to work as well for the huger then previously character. The toy is built well enough that playing with it is fun and it seems to match the characterizations enough of the movie version it is emulating in toy form. It is easy enough to transform back and forth from robot to car with a few minor problems that do get in the way which we will get to in a moment. For the price you definitely feel like you are getting a complete figure and something that is worthy of the Transformers name. It won't hold the sentiment that the older figures to carry the Bumblebee name will, but as far as over all look and fun the toy will hold its own well enough.
There a few downsides to the figure. The first is it suffers from top heavy syndrome that most of the Deluxe Movie figures seem to have. The robot modes mostly have the front parts of the cars as their chests making it hard to walk them about with the thin legs. They will often fall and topple over if you try to stand them up straight. Transformers Movie Deluxe Barricade is a perfect example of another to suffer from this problem. While for the movie the forms look nice, in a toy it seems a bit strange to have such thick tops and thin legs to be moving about these heavy bodies with. Standing them up straight can be a real task to put it lightly. Also there are loose pieces that don't seem to want to cooperate when you are putting him back into car mode. They just hang out there stubornly not wanting to conform back to how it is supposed to be. A minor problem that you have to work around as the car still looks nice either way. Lastly the tires are a bit cheap and look like they belong on a off road car rather then on a Chevy.
Over all I would say if you are fan of the movie that this character is based from or even a fan of old school Transformers its a worth while addition for your collections. Not the best figure in my opinion to have the Bumblebee name attached to it, but still a nice homage in many ways and still a fun figure in its own right. Its worth checking out just put the past where it belongs, in the past as this is a whole new Bumblebee for a whole new world. Some minor problems asside it is one of the nicer figures to come out of Hasbro in some time that isn't based on G1.
Check it out. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the new Bumblebee on the block.

I have been browsing round the internet and have spotted many websites where people are warning others about a factory defect that will break this toy. The Automorph feature of this toy has a tab that is the wrong thickness and will break off, preventing Bumblebee from transforming back. Hasbro has been producing a second version of Bumblebee, with the tab corrected but nobody is certain when it will be in stores.
Wanted to make sure people knew about this before they get mad or have to deal with a disappointed child.

Video Review of City Commander Upgrade Resident Transformer reviewer Peaugh has posted a nice, detailed review of the recently released City Commander upgrade set created for the Classics Universe Ultra Magnus figure.
The video goes in the great step by step detail on how to convert and attach the new addition along with nice video angles showing off the impressive attachments.
The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.
I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....
First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...
And also a huge picture montage courtesy of the Japanese Transformers Image Board showing Sentinel in package, with other Elite Guard members, and with the Headmaster unit firmly placed on his shoulders.
Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...

Video Review: McDonalds TFA Optimus Prime Resident Transformers video review master Sean Long has done it again. This time, Sean reviews the upcoming Mc Donald's Happy Meal bonus figure, Transformers Animated Optimus Prime. Sean gives us a good look at the figure, with comparison shots of it next to Movie Legends Optimus Prime, TFA Bumblebee, and TFA Deluxe Battle begins Optimus Prime.
This figure appears to be leaps and bounds better than previous Mc Donald's figures that were available in the past.

Video Reviews - Universe Classics 2.0 Tankor & Animated Activator Starscream Sean Long has provided an in depth video review of Universe/ Classics 2.0 Tankor. Triple Changer Tankor (ahem...Octane) is a Deluxe figure and features two alternate modes - a military plane and refueling truck. He will be issued in colors that are similar to his G1 figure.

Transformers the Game sells 3.3 Million Nest-gen.biz reports that among the top 100 selling games of the past 12 months, Transformers the Game by Activision, ranks in at 16th overall with sales a 3.3 million copies to date.
Transformers the game is narrowly beaten by Spiderman 3, which was also made by Activision, with 3.4 million sales, WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2008 at 3.8 million and the number one selling game Call of Duty 4 at 8.4 million copies.
