The toy itself is pretty cool. A brutal tank that transforms into a brutal robot named "Brawl", or in the movie he calls himself "Devastator". Was the movie wrong, or was the box on the toy wrong? Either way, I'm getting a new one since there seems to be a mistake w/ this one. A couple of things that did bother me, the arms are difficult to manipulate and move sometimes. The main chest and upper torso unit actually broke on the toys right shoulder. The side wheels are suppose to flip up and pose as shoulder guards. But the right side actually broke in 5 mins after i took it out of the box. Thankfully, I don't really care much about the toy's robot form. I really like the look and design of the tank. I might design it in 3D!
Brawl one cool toy but arm!July 4, 2007 When the package came, i was excited i'm 18 but i felt like a 5 year old. Now the arm is the only problem butlike what that guy said is true that its a designer problem and the toy isn't broken thsi si more for collectables and not for brawl attack! etc but overall i like it. He was awesome in the movie,and awesome as a toy. well as a teen's point of veiw, you should buy it.

Brawl is probably the easiest of the movie Transformer toys to actually transform. His transformation is simple, doesn't require the removal of attached pieces (ala Jazz) and he fits together.
Unfortunately, he doesn't fit together quite right...his arms don't fit in right to their slots in robot mode causing them to look a bit limp. Even when pressure is applied it is hard to get these arms to snap into place well. In addition his left arm, where he carries his canon is very limp as the canon is too loose. I have had other problems with other parts dropping off as well. The toy is easy to snap back together but overall this looseness makes him fragile as a toy (and a definite choking hazard for wee ones!)
He is very top heavy and his legs, while appearing sturdy, do not do a very good job of supporting him. His range of posing is limited because of these flaws (I personally had to rest him against something). His vehicle mode is very good however (though again, a bit loose as there is nothing to snap the base of the turret down)
Parents should avoid buying this toy for very young children as he presents a choking hazard while collectors may wish to shy away from this one as he is not very sturdy.

First off, Brawl is my favorte G1 Combaticon (remember Bruticus?), and im glad he is in the new movie line. His body style pays tribute to his 80's namesake.
Just got him yesterday...I had to go to 3 stores to find this guy, and let me tell you..hes worth it.
He makes a mean looking/armed to the teeth Decepticon when in robot mode, Love the claws, rotating guns on the shoulders...and lets not forget that awesome firing arm mounted cannon(..reminds me of megatron)
the tank mode is based on an actual u.s. army Abrams tank and the detail in both robot and tank modes are equally impressive.
the light up eye makes for a menacing glare, nice touch hasbro.
Now comes the cons...
those arms again ! they are a pain in the neck to lock into place when transformed, when they lock in place they stay put.
he is a bit top heavy. but when you get his legs posed to the desired position, he will stay put.
the transformation is smooth, but watch out for those arma again, because they will pop off..but they can be put back on with no problems.
dont listen to some of the negative reviews on Brawl, he is worth checking out, if you can find him. He isnt as well built and sturdy as prime or jazz but he makes a great addition to my collection, because he looks so cool.
Im really Impressed with some of the characters from the movie line, they are model quality and look good displayed on a shelf or on a desk ( i have a few on my desk at work, and my co workers think they are cool especially my jazz and prime )
these are aimed for the collector, and rightfully so. if you have small children. id think twice about getting them brawl, because some children are very careless.

Cool Transformer, but maybe not a quality one.May 31, 2007 I second most of the previous review, but I'll give him his props and say that he is pretty cool looking and I'm a bit relieved being able to see him in person. I was worried after seeing the initial photos. The material isn't as cheap as it looks in some photos and there is more paint application (although it's still somewhat sparse).
They aren't as bad as the "Deluxe" pre-earth Starscream and Optimus Prime. What Brawl suffers from (and I fear the other movie toys will as well) is the same problem that the first pre-earth toys suffer from. They don't transform very solid. The problem with the arms mentioned below is an example: they just aren't made in a way that they'll stay in place. Other things as well just are made where they sit a certain way, but it's not as solid as the old toys or even some of the recent $40+ toys. Sometime seams don't line up flush, sometimes an arm just has to be positioned a certain way rather than locking in place. Aside from quality this could also be due to the fact that the movie robots don't transform quite the same as the old ones do. The old ones almost folded into their disguise. These movie robots are much more like alien robots covered in a camouflage shell, and seem to "explode open" (if you've seen the trailers, you might see what I mean).
All that being said, I'm happy that I decided to purchase Brawl. He's given me a little more confidence in the rest of the line for this movie and he is pretty cool.

Video Review of City Commander Upgrade Resident Transformer reviewer Peaugh has posted a nice, detailed review of the recently released City Commander upgrade set created for the Classics Universe Ultra Magnus figure.
The video goes in the great step by step detail on how to convert and attach the new addition along with nice video angles showing off the impressive attachments.
The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.
I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....
First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...
And also a huge picture montage courtesy of the Japanese Transformers Image Board showing Sentinel in package, with other Elite Guard members, and with the Headmaster unit firmly placed on his shoulders.
Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...

Video Review: McDonalds TFA Optimus Prime Resident Transformers video review master Sean Long has done it again. This time, Sean reviews the upcoming Mc Donald's Happy Meal bonus figure, Transformers Animated Optimus Prime. Sean gives us a good look at the figure, with comparison shots of it next to Movie Legends Optimus Prime, TFA Bumblebee, and TFA Deluxe Battle begins Optimus Prime.
This figure appears to be leaps and bounds better than previous Mc Donald's figures that were available in the past.

Triple Changer Tankor (ahem...Octane) is a Deluxe figure and features two alternate modes - a military plane and refueling truck. He will be issued in colors that are similar to his G1 figure.

Transformers the Game sells 3.3 Million Nest-gen.biz reports that among the top 100 selling games of the past 12 months, Transformers the Game by Activision, ranks in at 16th overall with sales a 3.3 million copies to date.
Transformers the game is narrowly beaten by Spiderman 3, which was also made by Activision, with 3.4 million sales, WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2008 at 3.8 million and the number one selling game Call of Duty 4 at 8.4 million copies.
