The favorite toy of my 3-, 6-, and 8-year-oldsNovember 12, 2007 My 6yo son picked this out himself and since it arrived a month ago, it has been a favorite of him and his two brothers, ages 3 and 8 (and any friends that come to visit). I had to follow the directions carefully to transform it the first time, but since then the 6- and 8-yo have remembered how with no difficulty. A few steps take some muscle, so we occasionally have to help them, but it hasn't hindered their enjoyment at all. It has been dropped and even thrown, with no ill effects (so far!). It feels very sturdy and the transformation is pretty smooth -- you don't feel like you're going to break anything. There are a few small pieces that I thought would get lost, but they haven't so far (there are places to store them on the Transformer, so that helps). I should add that we haven't even bothered to put in the batteries which would supposedly enable extra lights and sounds, so this toy is probably even awesomer than we know!
The monster of all transformersOctober 22, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Primus is the monster of all Transformers. A good 6 inches bigger than leader-class Prime. Easier to transform than I thought is was going to be. I am not fan of the cybertron key. I thought it was kind of confusing at first. Primus created the transformers and had evil brother named unicron.
Premium toy befitting the character it portraysSeptember 2, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As an adult who still tinkers with toys, I have to say that I definitely appreciate the design and mechanics of this Transformer.
As a collector's item, both forms of the toy are visually appealing. Robot mode sports a high degree of posing ability that you would expect from a toy this size and it comes close to equalling the Unicron toy. Primus's planet mode features a convenient "stand" of four legs that upon casual inspection would just be towers jutting from Cybertron's surface. Both forms sport an appreciable level of skin detail and in planet mode you can see "cities" dotting the surface. Primus's design that marries the planet and robot modes feels complete and intuitive unlike some of the aspects of the Unicron toy.
As a toy, Primus needs a bit of respect and care. You can play with him and pose him just so long as you mind some sensitive bits. In planet mode, it is a nicely buttoned-up sphere (great job, designers!!) that could probably withstand a slight bit of punishment. In robot mode, its main body and limbs all feel solid and strong, but several parts of him have hidden connections to gear systems inside the toy and do not like to be forced. Repeated forcing may strip interior gears and damage the toy's ability to transform, though I'm just guessing on that.
Things to note: - Transformation of the toy requires the use of an accessory, the "Omega Lock", that can be lost. Substitutes such as a sharp object to engage the lock inside the Omega Lock sockets are possible, but try not to lose that Omega Lock accessory. The other "key" works the wrist-mounted guns and is not as vital. - Two of the Omega Lock steps are deceptively tricky to perform. Sliding the lock seems to engage a gear train with a high ratio and requires a bit of force to overcome. Practice is required but you'll get it. - As stated before, do not force pieces of the toy to "transform" that would ordinarily require the Omega Lock key. They don't like it. - Batteries are used to illuminate a piece on the Omega Lock (included) and to generate sounds and light the figure's eyes during transformation (2AA not included). The 2AA that go into the toy are highly optional and I recommend not installing them if you can avoid it.
Without hesitation, I recommend this to collectors and to parents of older children who are still interested in toys such as this. With proper care and a Ziploc bag to keep that Omega Lock thing safe, Primus is an excellent toy.
Well worth the price...January 18, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this paticular Transformer for my 7 year old brother as a Christmas gift. He absolutely loved it! It is very large, and slightly overwhelming. But, like many of the Transformers nowadays, reading the directions is almost required if you wish to grasp the full potential of your new toy. After reading them once however, you could pretty much do it again without any help. The neatest thing about this Transformer is he requires four other "Cyber Keys" from any other Transformer to unlock his "Cyber Key." So this would not be a good gift for a first time Transformer owner. But the kid loves it, and it was well worth the price.
Transformer excitementJanuary 17, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I hadn't seen my grandson so excited, when I gave him this Cybertron transformer. He played with that more then anything else, and just couldn't stand to go to school and leave it behind. There are some small parts that are easy to loose, and a key did get broken pretty quick. He is usually very careful with his toys too.
But it sure did make a nine year old very happy.

Video Review of City Commander Upgrade Resident Transformer reviewer Peaugh has posted a nice, detailed review of the recently released City Commander upgrade set created for the Classics Universe Ultra Magnus figure.
The video goes in the great step by step detail on how to convert and attach the new addition along with nice video angles showing off the impressive attachments.
The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.
I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....
First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...
And also a huge picture montage courtesy of the Japanese Transformers Image Board showing Sentinel in package, with other Elite Guard members, and with the Headmaster unit firmly placed on his shoulders.
Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...
"Move bots or you'll have to do more transform ups!!!"
