Product Description Megatron is a towering, bulky, dinosaur-footed monstrosity with a varied color scheme noticeably different than that of the movie version. Megatrons jet mode looks a little bit like one of Leonardo da Vincis flying machines. His robot mode, bearing a slightly simplified version of the movie Megatrons intricate armor plating, is reasonably well articulated. Among Megatrons arsenal of gimmick features are electronic sounds and lights, a launching claw that becomes a chain whip, and arms that combine to form a fusion cannon. Initially Megatron was Cybertrons designated Lord High Protector, although eventually he succumbed to his consuming lust for the all spark. Megatrons agenda placed him in opposition of Optimus Prime forcing the latter to rally a militia against Megatrons Deceptions. Megatron was single-minded and monstrously powerful; the Deceptions gained ground against their adversaries, and as a desperate contingency the all spark was jettisoned into space. Megatrons attempt to find the all spark ultimately divided him from his forces and led him into frounceen stasis.

This toy is disapointing.
First of all, this toy looks very little like the Megatron that was in the movie. It is stubby and stocky and presents none of the lethal intent the movie character does. The vehicle mode only slightly looks like the vehicle from the movie, and the transformation is much harder than it should be considering the results.
In robot mode this toy is hard to pose and unstable when standing. The feet do not support the toy except in a very narrow range of poses. The toys hands are useless and do not even look like hands, they cannot hold any of the other toys weapons or anything else. The "Chain whip" is kind of neat, and a nice nod to the original Transformer's cartoon character, but was not featured in the movie. His hand supposedly combine to form a "Fusion Cannon" but it looks nothing like the movie version. Also, the gun doesn't stay open without holding it open. The arms have a lot of kibble in the form of the "nose" of the plane, which serves no purpose in robot mode. The lights and sound gimmick it only OK. The Scream kind of make sense for this toy, but the yellow lights do not (blue lights for the ice, maybe?). The lights and sound gimmick add weight and bulk to what should be a fairly thin figure.
In Vehicle mode, the legs fold under the wings, making them look blocked up instead of like wings. Also the "tail" of the aircraft doesn't really lock into place and can flop around if touched. If the tail flops it tends to knock the legs free from their pegs on the wings. The wings are meant to unfold automatically, but this never fully worked on my toy. They unfold, but never fully without me having to push them down until the gear locks (there is a visible white gear on the wing hinges). Also the head is completely visible while in vehicle mode. The arms form the front of the plane, but again do not lock together well and come apart easily.
All in all this toy suffers from a lot of the same problems many other movie transformer toys suffer from. The character was designed for the movie first with no thought to how the toy would work, and the toy suffered from it.
Hey, It's Megatron for crap sakes!!!!February 16, 2008 My son is only 5 but he's dying to get his hands on this toy. He doesn't want to convert it to a plane, he just wants to get Bumblebee and Optimus Prime together to kick his butt!!! It's over-priced sure, but for the 30 minutes my son will take to destroy it....why the heck not. Yea, my kid is spoiled. He's all about Bumblebee anyhow!

Bought this for my 3 1/2 year old for Christmas and he really likes it. He isn't able to transform it yet on his own so do not buy it for a child under 8 unless you enjoy doing the transforming! It is sturdy and amazingly detailed though. Very impressive engineering! Well worth the money.

Received it quick-on time for Christmas, my 5 year old loves it, plays with it still!! It's a little cumbersome to figure out what all it transforms into and the pieces come off that can get lost easily but all in all, great toy, keeps him occupied!!

Transformers Movie Leader Megatron This product is really awesome. Difficult to transform to vehicle mode, but then that's part of the fun. Don't buy it for your young kid though. It's for older kids like me (30). I'd recommend for any Transformer fan though. Overall it is well worth it.
The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.
I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....
First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...
And also a huge picture montage courtesy of the Japanese Transformers Image Board showing Sentinel in package, with other Elite Guard members, and with the Headmaster unit firmly placed on his shoulders.
Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...

Video Review: McDonalds TFA Optimus Prime Resident Transformers video review master Sean Long has done it again. This time, Sean reviews the upcoming Mc Donald's Happy Meal bonus figure, Transformers Animated Optimus Prime. Sean gives us a good look at the figure, with comparison shots of it next to Movie Legends Optimus Prime, TFA Bumblebee, and TFA Deluxe Battle begins Optimus Prime.
This figure appears to be leaps and bounds better than previous Mc Donald's figures that were available in the past.

Video Reviews - Universe Classics 2.0 Tankor & Animated Activator Starscream Sean Long has provided an in depth video review of Universe/ Classics 2.0 Tankor. Triple Changer Tankor (ahem...Octane) is a Deluxe figure and features two alternate modes - a military plane and refueling truck. He will be issued in colors that are similar to his G1 figure.

Transformers the Game sells 3.3 Million Nest-gen.biz reports that among the top 100 selling games of the past 12 months, Transformers the Game by Activision, ranks in at 16th overall with sales a 3.3 million copies to date.
Transformers the game is narrowly beaten by Spiderman 3, which was also made by Activision, with 3.4 million sales, WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2008 at 3.8 million and the number one selling game Call of Duty 4 at 8.4 million copies.
