Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The rage Megatron feels after his defeat by Metroplex activates the dormant power within his Unicron armor. This vast energy draws power directly from the Giant Planet itself, feeding it into Megatron and changing him into the mighty Galvatron! A living engine of destruction, Galvatron lives only to conquer all and grind the Universe beneath his armored heel. His weapons and intellect super-charged by the living energy of the Giant Planet, there are none powerful enough to stand in his way.

Galvatron figure features electronic lights and sounds, and changes from a vehicle to a robot and back! Figure comes with Cyber Planet Key and instructions. Requires 2 "AAA" batteries (not included).

4 out of 5 stars a good looking repaint   March 9, 2006

It's unusual that a repaint/upgrade mold of a character is superior to the original look, but in this case I think the streamlined color scheme of Galvatron (mostly silver, grey and black) makes the toy look much much cooler than the hodge-podge color scheme of Megatron (who used about seven different colors including purple, teal, orange)....

The silver plastic is also very shiny, almost chrome-like...a nice touch in lieu of actual vac-metallizing the toy....true the jet mode isn't so great, but the robot and car modes are solid and as mentioned before make the toy look much sleeker in auto mode due to the new coloring....

5 out of 5 stars TF enthusiast   March 9, 2006

Galvatron is the second coming of Megatron from he first half of the Cybertron TF series. Ah, TF reformats-some marketing genius bought himself an island in Dubai with the residuals from that idea.

I'm fortunate being a collector, in that I knew before the series was released in the US that Galavatron would simply be a repaint of the Megatron mold (thank you Japanese Galaxy Force). I skipped Megatron altogether and went directly to Galvatron-saved me a bundle. Galvatron's color scheme is much more fitting of a TF Commander (black, gray & red vs. Megatron's purple, orange & teal).

The shtick with Galvatron is that he has the capability of PowerLinking with Nemesis Breaker (to compete with Optimus Prime's ability to PowerLink with Leo Breaker). Nemesis Breaker isn't currently available in the US so I cannot comment on the combination of the two figures. Since I didn't purchase a Megatron figure this PowerLink feature may be the one real quantifiable difference between Megatron & Galvatron figures.

For those inflicted with children: Galvatron is will stand up to the usual mindless abuse they'll visit on the figure; plus with the lights and sounds they'll be giddy and drive you nuts. The directions will however perplex them so get ready to help them figure it out.

For Collectors: If you can find one, hurry and pick him up they've sold out in pre-order several times. He's a beautiful compliment to Optimus Prime, much more so than the Megatron figure whose coloring was apparently picked out by a drooling two year-old.

More Images of TF :Animated Activator Megatron
New images of the soon to be released Transformers: Animated Activator Megatron have been posted on tf08.net.

The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game
Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.

I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....

First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...

And also a huge picture montage courtesy of the Japanese Transformers Image Board showing Sentinel in package, with other Elite Guard members, and with the Headmaster unit firmly placed on his shoulders.

Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...
