Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Red Alert is, first and foremost, a healer. As Autobot medic, he has never hesitated to rush onto a battlefield under heavy fire to assist an injured comrade. Indeed, there are many Autobots (and even one or two Decepitcons) who owe their lives to him. It is because of his skills as a healer that Optimus Prime handpicks him to be part of the team along with Hot Shot and Scattorshot - to return to Cybertron and cleanse his home world of the Terrorcons infestation. Though he is uncomfortable with the new armor and heavy weapons with which he has been upgraded, he recognizes their necessity, and will not hesitate to engage in battle if his hand is forced.

Requires 2 "AAA" batteries (not included).

3 out of 5 stars My son loves this transformer but it was really overpriced   July 2, 2008
It is an impressive looking toy but it really doesn't do that much. The only reason it is so much fun to me is because it makes my son so happy. He thinks it is really cool but in my mind at over $100 it should have been a lot more exciting. If Grandma and Papa hadn't been paying for it he wouldn't have gotten it.

5 out of 5 stars Transformers Cybertron Ultra Defense Red Alert   August 21, 2007
Transformers Cybertron Ultra Defense Red Alert

This is my opinion on the Cybertron Ultra Defense Red Alert..

To start off, I must say that the Defense Red Alert comes with a huge "inter-continental missile" look-a-like. It looks good in both Armoured Vehicle and Robot Modes. Though in its robot mode the huge missile makes this guy look a lot bigger.

The Armoured Vehicle is simple yet nice to look at. The overall white plastic finish do come with some splashes of light grey ("mud splash effect") just above the rear wheels. The missile carriage can be positioned up and down and so will the small little mini cannon at the front top of the vehicle. Inserting the cyber planet key into its slot at the rear top of the vehicle would open up the missile and the projectile can be fired from in it. Apart from what has been mentioned, there's not much more installed in this mode.

Transformation from vehicle to robot mode is a mere few twists and turns away. In its robot mode, the Defense Red Alert stands tall! In standing position it is capable of many poses and is stable in almost every pose possible. The joints are tightly and well fitted and rotates firmly. The plastic parts are well manufactured although it may be boringly white.. I had to paint on some details myself to make a bit more 'interesting' (work in progress).

In its legs are two tools that can be removed from its proper storage and be placed on its weapon which attaches to its hand. Here there is a cyber planet key slot and once inserted, the weapon flips open and you will get a gun-look-a-like thingy. Then one of the tools may be placed on it. As with the huge missile, this big thing would sit above the right shoulder and when the cyber planet key is inserted, the missile opens up to reveal the projectile and (with batteries in place) also has lights and beeps. The missile can be removed entirely and it stands almost as tall as the Defense Red Alert!

Well, in my opinion in overall the DRA is good to look at and to own but lacks details. As one part of the Cybertron Defense Force, the Defense Red Alert (together with the Defense HotShot and Defense Scattershot) should not be missed in anyone's Cybertron collection.

Red Alert TRANSFORM and rollout!!

5 out of 5 stars The Medic with a Missile!   March 20, 2006

After getting blasted by Megatron, Red Alert, along with Hot Shot and Scattorshot are revived by Primus, and are given new forms, and new weapons! They are then sent to Cybertron to get rid of all the Scrapmetal Terrorcons infested on it. Red Alert is really cool. He's now been upgraded two sizes larger to Ultra Class. While still retaining his medic position, (He now can heal anything!), he is now very heavily armored. He's got a missile almost as huge as himself! There is a smaller missile inside it that you can launch via Cyber Key. The big missile is lanchable manually. (As in, you take it off yourself and you hold it in your hand while it flies.) Red Alert still retains his hammer and and claw from the original, (Upgraded, of course. They look better, too.), but instead of being on his hand, Primus healed him and gave him what I call a multi-tool. It can be placed on both arms. Red Alert has two Mini-con ports in both Vehicle and Robot mode. He also has a dual cannon on his leg that can be flipped up. There are sounds too, in the missile. The instructions are pretty good but there are a few things. First, you don't have to remove the multi-tool before moving the arms, and second, the position they show for the multi-tool in the instructions, with the flip-out part on the bottom, is not anime correct, and will sag when the hammer or claw is placed on it. One last little thing that's really cool. The hammer has a spring in it for absorbing impact, or,(This is what I do), CAUSING EARTHQUAKES! Poseability pretty good overall. 5/5 One of the best in the Cybertron series.

More Images of TF :Animated Activator Megatron
New images of the soon to be released Transformers: Animated Activator Megatron have been posted on tf08.net.

The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game
Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.

I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....

A couple of TF fans have decided to share a bit more with the TF community.

First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...

And also a huge picture montage courtesy of the Japanese Transformers Image Board showing Sentinel in package, with other Elite Guard members, and with the Headmaster unit firmly placed on his shoulders.

Everybody should want to get Sentinel as soon as they can...
