Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Easily one of the best Autobots in the Classics line, this version of Jetfire is seemingly based on his Stormbringer appearance. Apart from his ordinary jet mode, he has a super-vehicle mode, in which the overhead gun pylons and wing cannons are added. Similarly, Jetfire has a standard robot mode with a humanlike face and his handheld double-barreled rifle serving as his weapon, and a super-robot mode, a little closer to the original Robotech template, complete with gun-mounted faceplate helmet, forearm-mounted projectile cannons and shoulder-flipping gun pylons. Like the original cartoon, the Dreamwave continuity gave Jetfire a friendship history with Starscream---this being one of the factors that contributed to Jetfireas early reticence in choosing between the Decepticons and Autobot factions. Though Jetfire did eventually choose the Autobots, he was treated a little like the resident ugly duckling for a while. In the case of Grimlock, the animosity was much more pronounced, although Grimlock was forced to work alongside Jetfire in order to escape arcane sacrifice at the hands of the Fallen.

Editorial Review
Arch-rival to Decepticon warrior Starscream, Jetfire has a long, complicated history in the ongoing clash between Autobots and Decepticons. For untold millennia, he was frozen in a block of arctic ice, the result of an avalanche that buried him while on a scientific mission to earth. Later, confused by his close friendship with Starscream, he dabbled in the Decepticon cause, until he discovered the full treachery and malevolence of his former friend and his cohorts. Now Jetfire misses no opportunity to battle Starscream in the sky. His speed, courage, and ability to transform himself from robot to jet makes this fighter a considerable match for his enemy. The Titanium series die-cast metal Jetfire, in red, gray, and black, stands six inches tall on his display platform. Collectors won't want to be without this key figure in the epic power struggle between the Transformer Universe's Decepticons and Autobots. --Emilie Coulter

5 out of 5 stars Great retro mold   April 27, 2008
This toy was a must buy for me because it is Jetfire. The original toy was modelled after a Macross toy. This mold is reminiscent of the original as suggested by the "classic" toy line. My only real complaint is that the arms are very visible in the alt mode. Definitely recommended.

5 out of 5 stars The most detailed Classics Tranformers figure.   April 13, 2008
Classics Jetfire is a masterpiece! This toy is the single most details and accessoried figure from this toyline.

The vehicle mode for this figure is superb, it is highly detailed and looks very similar to the cartoon character (also called SkyFire). The vehicle mode has foldout wheels, opening cockpit and the iconic red jetboosters that are this chaactgers distiguishing mark. The characters guns fit neatly into the wings and the characters removeable helmet fits neatly into the fuselage (still on the robots head) with the antennae from the helmet forming seconday guns.

In Robot mode this toy is much more poseable than the original, infact the poseablility of this toy is amazing and it is proably the most poseable figure from the classics line. The figure wears a removeable helmet, which is a nice accessory, he also has 2 arm mounted missile launchers as well as two hand-held guns that can be combined into one larger gun. His jetboosters convert into two shoulder mounted cannons. This character is practically bristling with weapons. When in robot mode the wings fold up (and look a little butterflyish) but stay completely out of the way of the arms which is nice (and not always guaranteed with transformers toys) and the feet, which are formed from the jet engines exhaust cones, provide a stable footing for the figure allowing you to pose it with a good chance it will stay upright.

All in all this toy is almost TOO GOOD to be a Transformers Classics line toy. In a line of toys notable for their quality this one sets a very high bar.

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful!   March 18, 2008
Jetfire/Skyfire has always been my favorite, so this one's just great to have. Pretty sturdy as far as construction goes, so heavy play isn't a problem, but trying to stand him up on his own with that jetpack attached requires a little skill. I wish he was a bit bigger, as Jetfire was just enormous in the actual show, but you can't have everything. Probably one of my favorite features on this are the eyes: they're clear blue plastic straight through to the back of the head, so when backlit, the eyes glow. Awesome! Pretty simple to transform back and forth between robot and jet, maybe a little TOO easy for some, but all around this is just an awesome toy.

5 out of 5 stars He'll always be Skyfire to me.   February 14, 2008
Jetfire/Skyfire from Transformers is a very calm, intelligent scientist who was around during the Golden Age of Cybertron. I enjoyed his G1 character (Skyfire) and was happy to find a toy that does a good job in representing his cartoon form. He is quite sturdy and is still holding stiff joints after a number of transformations. His face is calm and passive and captures his character well. Adults and children alike can enjoy this product since he holds together well and shouldn't break with normal handling. He looks very nice displayed either in spaceship form or as a robot.

5 out of 5 stars Skyfire lives!   December 28, 2007

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R27L9JR3744T8U Skyfire (Jetfire) is one of the better Transformer toys available today. I got one for my daughter and she loves it. I made this little movie for her to see what he'd look like if he were really transforming.

New images of the soon to be released Transformers: Animated Activator Megatron have been posted on tf08.net.

The images show both robot and vehicle mode (Earth Helicopter). The image of the robot mode shows that Megatron has decent articulation, but unlike the Leader Class version, his cannon cannot be attached to his forearm.

Seibertron.com Reviews Soon To Be Released Glu Mobile 'Tranformers: G1 Awakening' Game
Thanks to staff member Stormrider, I was given the chance to make contact with a member of Glu mobile;#x2019;s PR staff, and was able to play a demo of the soon to be released ;#x2018;Transformers: G1 Awakening;#x2019; game for cellular phones. Glu Mobile was very kind and even sent me a compatible phone loaded with the game to play, as they do not currently have a version available for the iPhone.

I was able to spend about a week with the game, wasting many precious hours, staying up until the wee early hours of the morning as I played the addicting game, and tried to experience as much of it as I could before I had to send the demo back....

First off we have Stealth, err, Goldbug... I mean ELITE GUARD BUMBLEBEE by Tamo536. Straight up repaint of the Original Animated Bumblebee, but according to the reviewer the 'stingers' are now able to better fit into the arms...
